Kansas City MINI Enthusiasts

We'll meet at John's Space Age Donuts at 8124 Floyd in Overland Park, KS bright and early, 7:30, departing at 8. Any later and the good stuff will be gone.

Here's the scoop on Tour de Donut: We'll drive to five donut shops in the KC area, stopping long enough at each for donuts and bad coffee. I'm handpicking the donut shops and will include some that were on my 52 Donuts journey as well as a few new spots. We won't be visiting Krispy Kreme or Dunkin on this drive, just locally-owned, donut deliciousness. I'll provide you with a detailed route at John's Space Age Donuts. I also have a little treat for the first 19 cars to sign up.

All Miniacs, MINIs and Minis are welcome to join in this drive. You do not have to eat a donut or have coffee at each location.
Please bring CASH as most of the donut shops do not accept cards. Thanks!

This sounds like fun but I am not sure that I want to get up at 0600 on a Saturday to eat donuts . Have fun!!!

Seth, have you every had a John's Space Age donut? You really don't want to miss out on this! You can go home after and take a nap. One will probably be in order once your belly is full of all the donuty goodness anyway. Seriously, all the kids hopped up on sugar, how could you resist?

I knew we'd have at least one complaint about the early start time.

Unfortunately, we have to get an early start. Most donut shops close early. John's Space Age often sells out of the famous apple fritter by 8 on weekends. Plus it's a good shake down cruise for the classic Mini guys heading out on a long trip the following week. Hint, hint...

My wife and I will be in KC that week. We are MINI motoring from Tampa, Fl to visit our daughters who both live in KC. If we can find the time we will be attending. May not eat a doughnut at each stop, because of dietary restrictions, but Mixing with the other MINIs will be fantastic.

I did a test run of the route today with MiniX2 and WOW! Five amazing donut shops, no interstate driving at all and a pit stop right in the middle. This is going to be a good one!
