Sorry for the necro post. But is anybody else going to this? I've been looking at events since I picked up my MCS and think I'm going to try to attend.

That event always falls on our anniversary weekend, and while I talked her into it a couple of times, she generally prefers we not be part of the event. Funny thing is tho, we'll be at Beaver Lake - just outside Eureka Springs - the same weekend!

I'd encourage you to go, it's a really fun event and the people that run it are terrific - you'll have a great time! They usually have two groups for the runs - a "normal" group and a "spirited" group - beware, the spirited group drives FAST!

The roads in Northwestern Arkansas are scenic, smooth and lightly travelled - perfect for a MINI drive..... so much so, that I'm organizing our next Classic Mini Fun Run in the same area this year.

Thanks for the info. My wife won't be able to attend so it would be just me heading down. Looks like it will be a pretty cool event. I'll likely drive with the "normal" group since I'm not looking to get pulled over or put the car in a ditch.

The "Goose" is leaving Thurs,Oct23 at about10:00 to 10:30am. Takes about 4 plus hrs depending on pit stops.We could cruise on down together.Just need to figure out where to meet. The more the merrier :thumbsup2:Need to bring your Halloween Costume .Great party

I'd be down for heading down together. I was going to leave a bit earlier than that though. Think I'm going to try to hit up the Thursday Pig Trail run which starts at noon. So I was thinking I'd leave more like 6-7am.

So far I'm looking at:

Thursday: Leave 6-7am, get to Eureka Springs around 11. 12-5 Pig Trail run. 6-9 Cookout.
Friday: 9-2:30 Elk Run, 4-5 parade, 6-9 pizza/movie
Saturday: 7-9 breakfast, 9-3 MINI Skirts Ozark run, 3-5 group photo, skipping halloween dinner

My wife is going to come down Friday after she gets off work and ride along Saturday. So we'll likely get dinner elsewhere Saturday night.

There are lots of places in Eureka Springs to eat, we liked Ermilio's for great Italian if you like that. Over near Beaver Lake there's one called The Horizon, right on the lake - really really top quality food but a little spendy - not crazy, just a little more than normal but a great place when you want to show a lady a nice evening. You might have to wait a bit tho and I don't think they take reservations...

I just made our reservations for this. We'll be there Thursday in time for the dinner. We are doing the dinner Friday and breakfast on Saturday. Beyond that we haven't planned. Are there still just 2 others going to this from the KCME?

We had an amazing meal at Local Flavor Cafe at last year's MITO. A nightcap after dinner at The Stone House is also lovely.

The host hotel is full. Just wondering where everyone is staying. Thinking about the Travelodge. Has anyone been there before?

Are you trying to book online or calling? They were full online but when I called I was able to get one of the pre-blocked rooms. This was back in mid Aug though.

Laurie, Best Western Inn of the Ozarks is the host hotel .You might try calling and checking on cancellations. You never know. Their # is 800-552-3785

We are booked at the Travelodge just down the street from the Best Western. With the expense of boarding the 2 fur kids we opted for a less expensive option. Plus, they didn't have any rooms left when I called.

We plan on leaving the 23rd about 12:30ish. We'll be in Eureka Springs for the Thursday evening dinner. We'll keep an eye out for our fellow KCME.
