In case you didn't read all the way through the link above, this drive includes Tour de Donut Route 66.

Saturday April 18th and 19th
Drive bits of Route 66 in MO and ALL of Route 66 in Kansas, plus a small town cruise-in around the Bolivar, MO square with one of my favorite family friendly bands on Saturday evening. About five hours of driving on Saturday, four hours of scenic driving on Sunday plus the drive back to KC from Galena, KS.

Excited to finally make this happen!

Just wondering if you plan on going from East to West or the other way around? If you plan on going to 4 Women on the Route in Galena, KS. where Mater is the last I heard they are only open on Saturdays. I will see if I can get some more people to go from Twisted Minis once you have more details.

We will be going East to West. 4 Women is now "Cars on the Route." We can still stop by, but they won't be open for us to use the new facilities (they have a bathroom now!) or buy a sandwich. We'll be making food stops elsewhere, no worries.

I hope some of y'all will join us, gasmini03!

When you say 'all" of RT 66 in Kansas, is that just the section from the state line to Riverton? Or is there more?

The entire length of Route 66 in Kansas is 13.2 miles, Dave.

The wife and I can make the Saturday run in the yellow sub, but will have to head back home Saturday night.

As always, this will be an epic event. We are in---
We are signed up at the Comfort Inn.

I made reservations at both hotels. Comfort Inn was $85.00 for two queens and $92.50 for a single king. Super 8 was $63.00 for a king and $70.00 for a king suite. Both offer a 4:00pm same day cancellation time. The hotels are approx. 400 yds from each other. Looking forward to seeing all of you that weekend. Even you Bob

We made our reservation at the Super 8. Since we got the sweet $56 deal for a single Queen we can not cancel our reservation. Unless something unforeseen comes up we don't plan on backing out anyway. This should be a fun time. I'm looking forward to it. Plus, DONUTS!

You old timers are forgetting to use AARP! Comfort Inn 2 queens $76.50 + tax. They even allow us to use our walkers!

John is on it! He volunteered to ride along on my next drive down to finalize the route. And by volunteered, I mean offered to eat all.the.donuts.
