Canceled!

Sorry guys, something's come up and I won't be available this weekend. We can move it to next weekend or after the first of the year, let me know.

Again, sorry!

We've had a few requests so it's on!

Dec 12th 9am

MiniDave's MiniShop of horrors........

So far we have: :chili: :black: :elec: :brg: :chili: :ds: :indi: :elec:

MiniDave - Chief tool fetcher and donut taster

nine5raptor - brakes, oil change, downpipe?

bdabbs - oil change, rear brakes

CowboyCoop - rear brakes

Stan360 - supercharger pulley

KGreen66 - Front pads and rotors

Boxer - Trans fluid change

Zackattack - lovely assistant

Anyone else?

As usual, new guy brings the Krispy Kremes and Koffee

Also, all MIni/MINI owners are welcome even just to hang out and watch, drink coffee or fetch tools. Be aware that weather may be a factor - if it's cold or rainy/snowy there's only room for two cars in the shop at a time.

Anyone who needs the address, PM me and I'll send it along.....

I would love to come out and help but I will be in Lawrence watching dogs jump over obstacles. Have fun!

If able, I will come by and help. I would like to replace my manual transmission fluid. No big deal if there is not time. Motor On! :ds:

Sounds great......I am ordering the 15% pulley. Now I have seen two belts suggested as ideal for 15% SC + stock damper combo in forum posts on NAM , and I don't know which to get K60535 - 1379mm or
K60539 -1385mm .

Also, would this be a good time to put on a new harmonic balancer just to be safe, or upgrade to ATI super damper since these are prone to fail ?

If your damper is OK I'd leave it alone, changing the pulley doesn't add any stress to the damper. Take a good look at it, if the rubber center looks OK, leave it.

Which pulley did you buy? Ask them which belt to use, do not rely on info from NAM......I would not buy the Alta pulley, I prefer the Cravenspeed one. The "1385" sounds right to me, smaller pulley means shorter belt.

The kit from WMW has the pulley, correct belt and correct plugs in it.....

I have some coupons and store credit for Outmotoring and can get the Cravenspeed pulley and Gains belt there at lowest price that way. They say 535 is best , and 539 also works

I already have Brisk racing DOR14LGS-T plugs in the car I put in a couple months ago. They are a colder plug , but I hear banter between Brisk DOR14LGS-T and NKG BKR7EIX-11 fans so , not sure what is ideal on the plug.

Unless you're going to track the car or spend hours climbing mountains at full load, the plugs don't matter that much.

Sounds to me like you're all set.....

I ordered Marc's rear brake pads. Do we need one rear wear sensor?
