Anyone have their window mechanism repaired at Baron's? What did it set you back? Mine's stopped. Doesn't make any noise. I'm guessing it's the motor.

Did you try the Fonzi move?

Make a fist, hold the switch down and give it a good bump about midway down and towards the front of the door panel.

Haha. Yea I read about the Fonzi move. I tried several times even with the door panel removed. Didn't work.

This happened to my 03 MINI. Didn't have it replaced at Baron, my local mechanic (I don't live in KC) replace my window motor and regulator for about $650 like 2 years ago :indi:

I had a similar thing happen to my 2005 caravan. Googled caravan window motor not working and tons of pages came up. One person said that he took the motor apart and cleaned it. So I did the same thing and low and behold, it was dirty. The commutator was dirty with material from the brushes. I cleaned it all up with scotch bright and a knife. Put all back together and the window goes up and down again.
