A Series Engine Car Run (Classics), rescheduled to June 3rd, 2017

For those of us running the famous A Series engine, there is a fun run that is going to take place on 29 April. This event is being planned and organized on Facebook. Here is a quick run down:

Welcome to the First Annual ALL BMC “A” Series Engined Car Run. This will be a fun driving experience through the countryside celebrating these great engines in these fabulous little British cars.
The “A” series motor is a beautifully simple motor that was used in a variety of cars from 1951 up until 1990. The cars included classic Mini’s, Austin Healey Sprites, MG Midgets, Morris Minors, early Lotus 7’s, and a number of other cars. This event is ONLY for cars that were born with an A-series engine.
The drive will begin and end at Victoria British in Lenexa, Kansas. The route will take us up to and back from Atchison along some of the nicest driving roads in the local area. The first leg will cover around 60 miles and should take us about an hour. On the return leg we will cover approximately 65 miles and should take about an hour and a half.
Participating cars need to be capable of travelling at 55-60 MPH as there will be some freeway travelling.

I may have a back-up driver for this event. Either way, I will be there with the beast!

Turns out they will allow the Pup after all, but Don thinks he'll still ride shotgun with me, Styers is driving his Caterham.

The weather was terrible so it was good that it was cancelled. I just can't make the new date. Have fun!
