Tomorrow is the day! You've trained hard, your MINI is ready to roll. Here are a few last minute tips for Tour de Donut:
1. Ca$h: Please bring cash to buy donuts, especially for the three donut shops in the middle of the five we will visit. Everything moves faster with cash (it's required at the second stop) and I know you don't like to wait too long for donuts. One bathroom stop would also appreciate a little extra $ for their kitchen fund.*
2. Patience: With over 60 people visiting small, locally owned donut shops, it will take a bit of time at each stop to purchase donuts and park. Please enjoy the experience, spend your waiting time meeting other club members and checking out their cars.
3. Two-Way Radio: No worries if you don't have one. Channel 7.
4. Patience: 35 cars on one drive in the city. It will take awhile for everyone to get moving the same direction. Be kind, be patient, this isn't a race. It's a morning full of fun and donuts.
5. Pen/Pencil: You'll pick up your Donut Passport from me at Donutology along with route information. You'll need a writing utensil to track your donuts and coffee if you are of the competitive sort. There are a few fun prizes.
6. Patience: Someone will get lost. Parts and pieces may fall off of a Classic Mini. A road could be closed. Your favorite donut may be sold out. There could be a line for the restroom. Be patient. Tomorrow has been declared a Complaint-Free Day.
7. Picture-Taking Device: your camera or phone. Surely you'll want to snap a photo or two. We're visiting a couple of picturesque spots.
8. Sunglasses. Can you believe it? The sun is going to be shining!

See everyone around 7:30 tomorrow so we can DEPART Donutology at 8. Happy donuting, friends!

*Many small donut shops do not offer restrooms. At the third stop, a neighboring church is offering parking and restrooms for us. They are raising money to finish building their kitchen. Please consider a contribution if you use their facilities. They do much good in the community and would appreciate it.

Are you an early riser? WDAF 4 will be broadcasting live from Donutology. Could you be there at 6:45?

Here's a link to one of the stories Fox 4 ran yesterday about Tour de Donut. https://youtu.be/F3ksjMhPanM

The reporter, the photojournalist and two donut shop owners now have plans to buy MINIs.
