WHAT: Car Rally at Richmond, Missouri’s Annual Mushroom Festival

WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 4th, 2019

WHERE: RICHMOND, Missouri (50 MILES EAST OF KANSAS CITY)
This location is a short drive from Kansas City and Mid-Missouri, however we encourage all MINI’s through out the state to make the trip to Richmond for this MINI Rally.

TIMETABLE:

9:30 AM-10:00 AM: ARRIVE IN RICHMOND, MO
10:00 AM-12:00 PM: SOCIALIZE- EXPERIENCE MUSHROOM FESTIVAL EXHIBITS & ACTIVITIES
12:00 PM (NOON) : ORGANIZE FOR MUSHROOM FESTIVAL PARADE (OPTIONAL)
12:15 PM: DRIVE TO PARADE LINE-UP AT SOUTHVIEW POOL
1:00 PM: MUSHROOM FESTIVAL PARADE STARTS
2:00-2:45 PM: RETURN TO RALLY SITE
(PARK YOUR MINI AND STAY AS LONG AS YOU LIKE OR DEPART AFTER THE PARADE)

WHY: This will be the SEVENTH year that there will be a MINI Cooper Rally at the Richmond Mushroom Festival. In 2018, EIGHTEEN MINI’s attended and we all enjoyed the parade and diversity of the Mushroom Festival. There were many unique vendors and a wide array of food stands. The people of Richmond really enjoy seeing the MINI Coopers at the festival and in the parade last year and wanted us to come back this year.

DETAILS: The Mushroom Festival is an annual event that attracts a lot of people and they start on Thursday evening and conclude on Sunday. They have provided us an area to display our MINI’s next to the vendors. There is no cost, just a great time for fellowship, to display our MINI’s and participate in their Mushroom Festival parade.

MINI PASSION: Hilary Morrissey is a passionate MINI owner. She has attended MINI Cooper shows and events throughout the state as well as hosting the MINI’s to Macon show in October 2011 & 2013, the MINI’s to Richmond show for the last 6 years plus the MINI’s to the Springs Rally in Excelsior Springs, MO in 2016. The opportunity to get a group of MINI’s together at a fun event seems very appealing, so here we go! Mark Saturday, May 4th, 2019 on your calendar and make the trip to Richmond, Missouri!

I’m new to this forum, and would love joining the rally to Richmond

The Last time we went was a lot of fun and very enjoyable. WIth having a rotating weekend Schedule, I never know when I will be off, with Brian working at Amazon every weekend, makes it even harder, he looks at it as money lost. WIth what Zach stated I have no Idea what he is talking about. I am assuming he has stirred something up over the the book face world Zach did you want to clarify your statement? Or keep it as ambiguous as you stated.

We are 9 days from MINI’s to Richmond, MO Car Rally/Show. We have approximately 14-15 MINI’s attending. I would love to receive more email registrations, however if you are a spur of the moment person you are more than welcome to drive up Saturday morning! We would like to get everyone there before 10am. We do have this year a young local musician that will be playing her ukulele and singing some music from 10:30am-11:30am. Thank you for your consideration as your participation will be welcomed.

Let's all meet up at the Ameristar Casino parking lot @ 8:15. That would give us time enough to arrive in Richmond by 9:00. Enter the Ameristar entrance street from Hwy.210 just east of Hwy 435 to the Railroad Engine and turn right and we will be in the lot on the left side of street. 3 days until the MINI’s to Richmond, MO Car Rally/Show!
The weather forecast is Partly Cloudy and 72º degrees. It should be a great day to kick off a fun summer. We have about 14-15 MINI’s now and are anticipating several drive-in’s. We have plenty of room so if you get the itch for a little MINI adventure. Come join us Saturday morning!

Don't forget about the parade! You might want to bring a kit to get your MINI/Mini all shiny before hand. Please also note that you can bring candy to give out during the parade but you CAN NOT throw it from the car. You must have a walker that hands it out.

Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs, cooler with drinks/snacks, cash….etc
. We are excited for our musician performer from 10:30 am-11:30 am.
