As I know it all stock left over when they close will be transferred to Northland and Molle VW so not sure on the deals. They were running 0% financing on GTI though. If that had been around when I was buying I would be in one instead of my MINI. :) Not that I don't like my car, but I drove both and...

Last weekend: Town Center, Dark Silver Cooper S w/ checkered rearview & side mirror covers. Tuesday: Gardner, Dark Silver R53 JCW on main. Forget the custom tag. Older guy driving. Yesterday: Gardner, blue Cooper S. Blonde gal driving; she honked and waved. And a bunch o' others I am forgetting.

No second MINI....for now.

Well as some of you know we had ordered my wife a red Cooper. As it turns out, we are going to pass on the car. Only reason...so we can get her an S next year!

After driving our S for a week while I was out of town she decided the Just-a-Cooper wasn't going to cut it in the long haul. :)

BTW - the car currently on the dealer floor has OZ Ultraleggera black wheels with performance Continental tires I retract my statement then, these are good wheels. Again, not super-light forged, but these are some of the best cast wheels you can buy and aren't stupid expensive. Good call on whoever...

I love the MINI, don't get me wrong. But you could build a BMW 135i hardtop for that price. Also, that 38k price tag MINI has (based on the wheel comment) ~$3000 worth of worthless wheels. The 18" black JCW wheels are such a huge ripoff its not funny. Really? Three grand for heavy non-forged wh...

Baron MINI changes (rumors/facts/etc.)

Somebody posted on another local car site today (as an ex-employee of Baron) that Baron VW is getting sold back to VWoA and will no longer be carried at the location. They are moving MINI into the current VW building exclusively. This is all apparently to free up some shop space since the great warr...

Stock bottom-end + factory forced induction + nitrous seems like a bad, bad idea. Just sayin' :)

Well, you have to be having a better time than we are here with our rain and humidity - enjoy it while you can! My rental car is a Chevy HHR. It is perhaps the worst "new" car I have ever driven. I am comparing this to my Toyota Yaris which isn't anything special either, but feels like a ...

It could be a case of over-hype as well. Very, very common. Such as 25hp intakes and whatnot.

I hope we can still make it. Pretty sure I'm coming down sick though. Could just be lack of sleep + too much time in a theater, we will see tomorrow.

FYI: I saw Dark Knight twice tonight (one iMax, one regular), its well worth your money.

SPR SIZ (speed_racer?) passed me this morning on the way to work. I suspect she was either late, or indeed speed racer since that was the last I saw of the MINI outside of a little blue dot getting farther and farther away...

I am down for burning gas, just give me a date. If we did it this weekend we would ideally end at Tanners for the Z club invitation. Otherwise the 1st is out for me but we are free most any other day.

Yea, Jess and I had a great time. Nice meeting everybody. Also, FYI: if its that humid out + lowish temp, then be prepared for some massive fogging of the windshield. We ended up having to sit ON the seats and look over the windshield to see past about 50% of the movie. So much for the comfort of th...

I say 6:30 just in case somebody is running late or whatnot we won't be pressed for time.
