I didn't see it on the list but Hy-Vee in Lee's Summit off Ward just got a gas station last month and it has pure gas.

Didn't realize that.
This might be a good alternative for those that live an hour from Lawrence and may be closer to pleasant hill like myself.

Team Xtreme International show in Pleasant Hill
My church is having the Xtreme Team at the Pleasant Hill High School (1 Rooster Way, Pleasant Hill, MO). It is August 25, Saturday @ 7:00pm They are big muscly guys that break cinder blocks/boards, rip phone books in half, bend metal, and all sorts of other stuff. It is completely free so if you're ...

Re: August Shop Day
I need brake fluid still, and an oil change.
Sept 8th should work for me.
@GrayGuy, I have 2 bottles of transaxle fluid that I haven't used, it's yours for $20 if you haven't gotten any yet. This is what I have.. http://www.waymotorworks.com/redline-mtl.html

Re: Borla Exhaust
From the sound of things I think I know the answer but is the aftermarket exhaust really worth the money performance/sound/mpg wise? I have never had aftermarket exhaust on any vehicle i've ever owned. I'm cheap! Usually unless it's broke or worn out I don't replace it Having had 2 vehicles that had...

Re: Garage Day Anyone?
i might be able to attend depending on the date. i still need to change my brake fluid, tranny fluid and engine oil. another thought... we could make this a detail/wash day as well and maybe get some more attenders that wouldn't normally come to a garage day.

If it rains this weekend which it looks like it's going to, then I won't be there on the 21st. I've got to start getting my siding replaced and that's the only time I have to do it. Hope you all have fun and a worthwhile camera!

Re: Control Arm Bushings
I haven't researched them much but I think I heard they were pretty noisy. Unless you plan on racing your MINI competitively I wouldn't spend the $290~ over the $90~ for the powerflex . Here's what alta says about them. "OEM Bushings vs The PSRS The OEM MINI bushings are made of soft rubber to ...

I like it as long as it's not just an after thought thrown in that people don't notice.
I think we should set a $ amount goal and perhaps that would be some encouragement.

I'd love to shoot again. My weekends may be jammed the next month or so. I am replacing siding on my house and it's a huge task by yourself. evenings might work better or maybe sat the 21st. Ill have to see where i'm at after next weekend. I'll keep you updated and try and get a solid date ASAP.

I have a rip in my drivers seat and asked baron\samer who they use for that sort of thing and he gave me the contact info. I still have it somewhere, or you could ask for it. He might be cheaper going directly to him.

I think the alta is the loudest of any intake with good quality. On NAM the DDM seems to be the highest praised overall. I would get the DDM personally but I don't have one so thats just from my research.

Just wondering, are we doing the garage day event at the garage off of 119 street? I have been so busy that I haven't been able to keep up. i was thinking it was Sat April 1. I think Philly did something to ya Boxer! Well change of plans fellow MINIacs, stuck in Phily, PA. I will miss out on all th...

I won't be able to make it this saturday, I've been recruited by my dad to help install a RO water filter for my sister! Looks like it'll be a busy day, hope you all enjoy. Dave i'll have to stop by after work sometime soon and either fix my pully there or take the belt tool with me. I might be able...

Re: Underdrive Pulley
I don't think the pulley itself will be the problem i'm sure very small number of those fail or cause problems but the Alta tensioner stop looks like it will make more noise than this one , not that the alta is a bad product just seems to be people's preference to go with WAY due to noise/rattle. Yo...

Re: Should the Club have a Disclaimer Form
When renting tools from O'reilly's do you have to sign a liability form? I have never rented from them but I don't think you do. I would assume it would be the same case for an individual lending out their tools. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have everyone that attends a garage day sign a form, wheth...

I don't know about "Champion", but I can stick two pieces of mild steel or stainless together pretty well...so if you need something done just run it by, I'll be happy to do it. The belt tool is available, just let me know when you want to come by - do you think you could just loosen the ...

Re: Lift me up!
Ummmm, no actually - I made them to fit over the jack blocks. Baron has those for like $16...... I guess I won't be using them then. I'm cheap! I do need to come over and borrow the belt tool. Seems I've got a bad belt chirp from the supercharger pulley being misaligned with the rest of the pulleys...

WOW! I can't believe we got done as much as we did! Huge thanks to Boxer, MiniDave, and Dimini (the librarian  ). Topped off the coolant and bled the air out when I got home with no problems! The Drive home was great, It's a totally different MINI! The Pulley makes more available torque where i...
