Don't know how many, and it'll depend a bit on when it is, but if at all possible for me to be there, I will be. If you want, a dear friend of mine works at Harvesters, and I can help work out details with her if you would like.

To answer questions: Mostly I've dealt with Russ Lopez. I don't honestly blame him, specifically, and he's been as accommodating and friendly. I blame Baron's service dept, in general, and the manner in which they do business. My MCS is an 03, I'm the 2nd owner, and it's well out of warranty. If you...

My lengthy Baron experience

Alright, I've been kind of quiet about my last couple of months of MINI ownership, but since I scheduled my 4th trip to Baron today for repairs in about 8 weeks, I've got to vent a little bit. So, here we go: Trip #1 I'd been considering a trip to Baron for some time because my A/C was being iffy an...

I wish I was. I originally had it planned and then about 10 things conspired to keep me from coming, the most worst of which was that I was trying to get a new job that I'd have had to start that week so I couldn't have time off, and then I didn't get the @#$% thing anyway.

Crud. I was talking about August, for some reason I was just convinced it was the 9th month.

That's kind of what I figured about the dash light too. Providing that my sensors work, of course.

Well, I'd *like* to do them prior to Aug 9, but I'm not sure if there will be a chance, honestly. Obviously this weekend is out. on 7/25 I take it to Baron to figure out why the A/C quit working the last time I took it to them (2nd trip - mushrooming repair) after I took it to them a month ago and t...

As MiniDave's devil advocate, I think that the mushrooming is a real issue, and can be a problem. While I fully trust his engineering/mechanical knowledge well above mine, I did just have a mushroomed strut tower repaired this past week on my 03. The reason that I believe that the damage did exist a...

Brakes sometime?

I need some assistance installing my new brake pads. I've got the pads and some nice blue brake fluid, but I just have no idea what I'm doing or anywhere good to do it?

Any chance we can plan a wrench day to get them (and anything else people need) taken care of?

As a MINI/Minivan owner myself, I wish I had a Honda instead of the Kia I have. It's not a bad car, mind you, but my family is up to the 10th Honda since 1980 and if I had to have a van that's what I wanted. However the Kia was cheaper new then a 3 year old Honda was, and since it was a gift, I can'...

Don't get me wrong, I'm solidly a geek and love a LOT of stuff on that site. My purchase there was the wi-fi detector shirt, which I bought my brother for his birthday. He makes video games for a living, and you certainly can't get any more "geek" then that.

Ha!

You thought you'd be sneaky and put a non-single track on there. You can't fool me.

Antartica by Midnight Oil.

Of course Blue Sky Mine is among my favorite albums of all time. I'm *so* glad I managed to catch them in concert before they split up.

Re: So, next up, from my current favorite band....

Ah ha! I think I do know this one. It gets pretty good rotation on The Buzz. Handlebars by The Flobots, right? That is correct! And Laurie, if you like that song the whole album is pretty good. For that matter, anyone, really. Be warned, however, it's pretty highly politically charged, and fairly f...

something I suspect that no one will get, even though I did hear it on the radio the other day (and was surprised by that) I can show you how to do-si-do I can show you how to scratch a record I can take apart the remote control And I can almost put it back together I can tie a knot in a cherry stem...

One of my all-time favorites. " Don't Think Twice - It's All Right " - Mr. Bob Dylan. I remember it when it was new, thanks for bringing it back to me. I gave her my heart, but she wanted my soul. . . I too really enjoy the song. My personal fave version is by Mike Ness, lead singer/found...

It ain't no use to sit and wonder why,
If you don't know by now.
And it ain't no use to sit and wonder why,
it don't matter anyhow

Another song with 100 people covering it... but I know who the original was from (though that's not the version I have on my ipod)

Ballroom Blitz

Of course I've heard so many covers of it, I have no idea who really did it originally.
