We should consider Eureka Springs as a possible overnight MINI gathering/run. I just talked to the owner of The Roadrunner Inn, and he would love to host us! Think about it, a laid-back old style road inn with a great restaurant 3 miles up the road (Horizon Restaurant) on the way to charming old Eu...

I'm so excited to see the MINI included!! The last time I inquired at a German show I was told British cars weren't permitted....then there's the annual backlash at the All-Brit show re. MINIs being German (but still included on the reg. form). I like the possibility of dual-citizenship and being ab...

What effects, if any, would I have if I put regular air in my tires when I have them filled with Nitrogen already? A nitrogen/gas station air mix works fine. Air is 78% Nitrogen, so you haven't completed ruined the benefits of Nitrogen inflation. My biggest concern with Nitrogen inflation is keepin...

If you have time for a leisurely drive back, we like to go from St. Louis toward Hannibal (via Bowling Green) on the Great River Road. This time of year the scenic river overlook between Louisiana and Hannibal is a nice stop and the road has a 2 mile twisty section that I like to drive over and over...

I updated my web album with pics from yesterday: http://picasaweb.google.com/MotoringChix/BuffaloRun2007 I skipped the party at Blonde on Friday night, but heard instead of the fur/lingerie fashion show, they had models "wearing" body painted flags to represent the nations of origin of the...

Yep, like last year everyone is scheduled to leave the Plaza at the same time, however it seems like we left earlier last year. This year the departure time is somewhere between 11 and 12. The sound of hundreds of exotic cars leaving the Plaza last year was almost as awesome as seeing all of them to...

Man, I forgot! I was going to sign up to drive. Guess it's just drooling again. BTW, that's a Lotus Esprit, not an Elise... I think you can still sign up to participate on Saturday if you like road rallies. It's not high speed driving and not on a track but still great fun. Thanks for catching my t...

Thelma and Louise ride again....

Today was the Track Day at the KS Speedway for the Buffalo Run. What a blast! I was expecting parade laps on the track and got a very pleasant surprise of the triple digit variety. 8) I posted some pics here: http://picasaweb.google.com/MotoringChix/BuffaloRun2007 If today's event was any indication...

For those of you who have new helmets and would like to try them out, may I suggest a trip to Saddler's in Olathe (Indoor go-cart). This is the best way I know of to get a bit of racing in and to try out the new helmet. It's just as fun in old helmets. How about Sunday afternoon - about 1pm? Alex- ...

I don't want to be the only girl. I wouldn't want to show up all these boys by myself! 8) I'd share in the estrogen representation but they are scared of drop-tops at the track. What does it cost? Where does it go? I think it's $275 per car (covers driver and navigator) this year. That includes the track day, a Friday evening VIP reception, the Saturday rally with lunch and admission to the Saturday evening thing at Aristocrat with a band. Last year it was a Decision/Confi...

I thought this event was just for rich guys with expensive cars, Aston, Jags, Lambo's Ferraris etc.......... All of those cars were certainly present last year, however there were 3 MINIs, some classic Mustangs, even (gasp!) a Scion! Apparently we were welcome enough, even if we aren't guys or rich...

Buffalo Run anyone?

Is anyone participating in the Buffalo Run this year? They've added a track day on Oct. 10th and the rally is on the 13th. There's more info at www.kcrally.com.

And just across the bridge, a blue MCS turning onto 152 from North I-35.

KC All British Car Show, Sept. 1 and 2nd

Registration information is now available at http://kcallbritish.tripod.com . It's $30 to register, which includes a T.
