Re: Wheel Bearing
It does get louder turning to the right but is otherwise speed dependent. No clicking or thunking at low speed turning so I don't think it is CV joint.

Re: Wheel Bearing
And I don't think it is the CVT transmission because the sound does not change when I change gears. It is strictly speed dependent. Baron thought it might be tire wear but it seems to be only driver's side.

Wheel Bearing
Ok, question for all you MINI mechanically inclined owners. I believe I have a bad driver's side front wheel bearing. As I get above 35 mph, I get an increasingly louder humming from the drive train the faster I go. My question is, "Is there any way to be certain that it is a wheel bearing and ...

Re: bad news
Glad you got a second opinion! I had the opposite experience. After setting off some codes, Baron said I had low compression in 2 cylinders and needed an engine overhaul for a minimum expense of $2,500. I took it to KC Autosport for a second opinion and they said compression was good and all I neede...

Re: The end of Moss Mini
Back in the day (almost 10 years ago), I bought several cool things from Moss MINI. The coolest was an oil filter adapter to allow the use of a "normal" spin-on K&N oil filter. :D Never saw this available anywhere else. This part has not been available from Moss for several years, howe...
