I'm curious what route you'll take to get there...........
My husband used to work over in that area, so I actually do know where the drive in is (and I've been to a few Greaseramas). I personally would go 435 to 69 to 35 and just get off at Lamar and take a left, cross over 35 and the railroad tracks, and take a right onto Merriam. But that gets you to the drive in, not necessarily the parking lot meeting place, as I'm not sure where the parking lot is in relation to the drive in.
The parking lot is at 14th and Merriam, if you get on Merriam lane from Lamar, you'll come to the lot before you get to the drive-in - it will be on your left. Incidentally, it's 14th street North of Merriam Lane (where the parking lot is), it's Roe Lane south of Merriam Lane............

Sounds good to me. Actually meeting in the parking lot of the Summit Technology Building might be best since it would be less traffic/people.
Other option I just thought of is the nursery there at View High Dr. and 470. That would be low traffic and might let us get on the freeway together easier.
I think View High might be best/easiest for everybody. Thoughts?
Okay, I was/am confused. I thought the "A" marker was for the parking lot meeting spot. The meeting spot is in the lower left had corner of the map right?

30% chance of rain. Will need to keep an eye on this as although I love sitting out in a chair watching a movie in the rain... my Mini is not allowed to get wet
We plan on packing the trunk with as many peeps as we can stuff in there, just like the old days. But in case that plan falls through, better just count on my Mini, Cathy and me.

What time?
Me, too. kenshin138, you're right, very easy meeting spot and on to the highway.
All - a side note for those of you who were (like me) thinkning Lamar exit off of 35 - I heard on the news this morning that exit may be closed this weekend, so you might plan on an alternate to continue on to the 18th St. Expwy exit instead.
Aris, 6:30 is for the folks leaving from Lees Summit.
I'll be at the parking lot by about 7:15.........
If you're coming north on Roe Blvd, you have to turn right onto Roe Lane or you'll find youself on the 18th street expessway and not be able to get off till well after Merrianm, then you can turn around and come back north, bu it's easier to turn right onto Roe Lane and just follow it down, under I-35 right to Merriam Lane.

Fellow Lees Summitites (is that the right term? Lees Summiters?) Anyway, by some miracle my SO didn't have to work to day so we will be out and about town, probably closer to the meet up location than LS. So, if the meet time comes at the nursery and we're not there, don't wait on us, we'll just see you at the movies!
