God Bless the Mini

Post by GRIN-N »

I prefer to not go into the circumstances of the accident but to let you know, our son was driving and was by himself. He suffered a scraped hand and bruised shin. It hit a large power pole, breaking it off, then rolled one or more times, then came it a rest on the driver's side.

I guess those roll bars on the back seats work.

At this point we do plan to get another one. It looks like the wait for a convertible will be a long one though.

Have fun but drive safely.

I feel a lot safer in my own 06 convertible after seeing this. Glad to hear he wasn't hurt at all.

All I can say is I'm definitely glad that he's ok, and that I own a Mini!

We are looking for another, mostly because of the fun factor, but the results of this accident certainly make it easier to make this decision. It doesn't look like we will be able to replace that one, it was perfect for us. We'll find something close though.

Glad to hear no serious injuries. Scary pictures!

Is the JCW Sidewalk still at Baron? It's nicely equipped and I would have bought it in another color. I gave it some serious consideration a couple of weeks back but am just not quite ready to part with mine. It's a beautiful car!

I noticed a PW cabrio Monday on a car lot around maybe 85th and Metcalf, however did not notice if it an "S" or not.

Yes it is still on the floor. I think it would be a consideration but we will wait to see how the insurance company responds. I haven't heard anything yet.

I'll run up Metcalf at lunch time to see what I can find.

Thanks.

That one on Metcalf is at O'Niel Nissan/Honda, going south its on the right hand side with all the other used cars. I see it every time i drive by there.

Not an S though, its Just-a-Cooper.
