After successfully using minicoopers43's car as a guinea pig to learn the process, this Sat we're gonna change the lower control arm bushings on Boxer's car. I anticipate this being a much quicker and easier job, since we now know all the tricks, so there should be some time left for a few other jobs too.
We need to finish minicooper43's work, change oil and filter, change his intake hose, serpentine belt and a few other trim bits to be reinstalled.
I need to change the oil and rotate the tires on my Clubby, too.
All are welcome as usual....
So far we have
1) MiniDave (host)
2) Boxer
3) minicoopers43
4) grey guy (if he can tear himself away from work )
5) Dimini (after the St. Patty's day race)
6) IowaM1n1
Oh, and please don't ring the doorbell, just come around the garage side of the house thru the gate to the garage back door, it will be open. The doorbell makes the Mini-Poopers go nuts, which wakes my sleeping bride, who works nights.

Re: Maintenance Time, Part Duex!
We had a pretty good day in MiniDave's Mini-garage!
A lot of folks stopped by, Davester, Bluegoose, IowaM1n1 - twice! - Greyguy was there most of the day too.
Boxer's car got treated to some new lower control arm bushings, new front sway bar bushings and while we were in there, a full set of Konis and some new H-Sport springs. His car definitely left with a new attitude and a new stance, and he said it now drove "night and day" better than before!
We then jumped on Minicooper43's car to finish what we'd started last week. The drain plug was completely rounded off so I welded a big ol nut onto the stub, once it cooled a bit it came right out! A new plug, a filter, and 5 quarts of oil later he was ready to go. We also managed to get a new serpentine belt installed and Davester, Bluegoose and Greyguy went down to Baron to pick up some clips we needed to re-atttach a missing peice of wheel opening molding.
Doesn't seem like much, but it was a lot of work and I'm glad we got it all done today!
Thanks to all who stopped by or contributed, it was indeed a succesful day in the shop!
