Aluminum OEM wheel repair?

Post by IowaM1N1 »

Any advice on vendors for aluminum wheel repair?

Looks like one of my winter wheels has a dent in it from hitting a pothole sometime last year. Still holding air, and no paint damage, but a pretty good sized wallop that needs dealt with.

Any recommendations?

I was going to post the same link. I've spoken to one of their repair guys and he seemed to know what he was about..... I talked to him one day while I was at NTB getting some new tires installed, he was in the parking lot fixing one for their customer.

Alloy Wheel Repair does their repairs without dismounting the tire. That may make them a little cheaper, but they also cannot get right up close to the lip where much damage occurs. There is a place up on the West Access Road at Shawnee Drive and 635 that does really great work. They charge a little more because they break the tire off the wheel do their work, then mount and balance.

Just depends how picky you are I guess.
Michael B (although the MINI is Carole's toy I still get to fix and maintain it)
