Annual British Faire and Tea & Mini/MINI Show, Saturday Nov. 4th, 2017
I contacted the leaders of the Daughters of the British Empire about holding a Mini/MINI show in conjunction with their event to possibly help draw attendees to their sale. They are excited to have us join them. The date is Nov 4 from 10 to 4. We probably won't have our show for the entire 6 hours but a few hours at the beginning perhaps 10 until 12 or so would be good. I have no details at this time but will be in contact with them soon to develop the plan.
If you are interested please sign up or indicate that now so we will have an idea of space needed for the show.
Thank you and I welcome any questions or suggestions.

Re: Annual British Faire and Tea & Mini/MINI Show, Saturday Nov. 4th, 2017
The British Faire President is excited for us to attend. I have spoken with the Civic Center staff and we need to know HOW MANY Coopers will be attending so we can set aside parking spaces in one area for us. Please post here as soon as possible to let me know how many are pretty certain you will attend.
I suggested to the Faire that we would be there from a little before 10:00 AM their opening time until 2:00 PM at the latest unless majority . They close at 4:00 PM. The link to their website https://www.dbekansas.org/ provides details of the event. We are all welcome to attend "High Tea" and she will hold tickets for the latest seating 3:00 PM if we have people who wish to attend it. The other two sell out very rapidly and she cannot hold tickets for those. Let me know if you WILL want to attend that seating.
Thank you
Steve

We had planned to attend but my back surgery is on November 2nd, so don't think I will be up for it. So disappointed!

Re: Annual British Faire and Tea & Mini/MINI Show, Saturday Nov. 4th, 2017
We have an update on the Faire. Even though we will take spaces to show our Minis/MINIs they are excited to have us as a group. Everyone did such a wonderful turn out for Cars and Coffee I hope many are still up for another showing. Keep those cars clean for November 4.
Details: The faire opens for business at 10:00 and people start arriving to get in about 9:00 I was told. We need to RESERVE the spaces for our show ourselves as the organizers of the faire won't have time or be able to do that. If anyone living much closer to the Shawnee Civic Centre, 13817 Johnson Dr, Shawnee, KS is willing and able to get over there and secure the spaces for us by 8:00 or 8:30 that morning I will greatly appreciate it. Jane and I are about 1 1/2 hour drive away from there. We intend to get there early enough but just in case another person to secure the space would be great.
It will be great if we can have at least 15 - 20 cars for this showing. As long as I know how many WILL be attending we can reserve the space so the more the better. We won't have drawings or any judging we just want to show the people attending the British Faire and Tea our great cars. I should have asked any that showed your car at Cars and Coffee to keep the information sheets that were on your vehicles that day for this one. It was good info for viewers to know what cars they were seeing. I will have something similar to fill out the day of the show when you arrive.
We need all the cars to arrive by 9:30 if at all possible. If not able to make that time and we know you are attending space will be saved for you.
I suggested we would be there from 10:00 opening until 2:00 PM even though they do not close until 4:00 PM. I did not want to commit everyone for any longer than that. If you cannot stay that long or arrive before 10:00 we can be flexible. I would prefer to have all cars in place no later than 10:00 to avoid other traffic in the lot.
You don't have to stay with your car all the time. There is a $5 per person admission fee to attend the Faire. You will be able to visit the faire and sample the wares the vendors have for sale. We have not attended previously but heard it is a great offering itself and well worth attending. Bring lawn chairs, refreshments etc so you are comfortable when not shopping.
If you are interested in a sitting for the High Tea tickets sell out very rapidly. I think we "might" be able to get a few advance tickets for the last tea of the day if any are seriously interested.
Tea Times
11:00 / 12:15 / 1:30 / 2:45
Your $18 tea ticket includes free entry to the Faire. Tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis on the day of the Faire.
Hope to see many of you with a good variety of cars as we had at the Cars and Coffee event this week. Thank you

I can't stay the whole time, but I do live close the center so I can plan to be there at 8 -ish to save some spots. If you can let me know how many and where in the lot that you want to save - I can figure out some way to do it.

Re: Annual British Faire and Tea & Mini/MINis selling tickets I Show, Saturday Nov. 4th, 2017
We will be reserving a section of 16 spaces for our club right up front at the entrance to the building (thank you Pat).
Remember to bring chairs, drinks and possibly pack a lunch. I do not believe there is any food available other than the "High Tea" service the event is selling seating to attend. See their website or previous entries here on the forum.
Looking forward to seeing you all again this weekend!

I have to go hunt it down. I have a bad feeling a former roommate took and destroyed it. He got angry that I had that flag in the house.WHUTFUN wrote:That would be great Zach! Thanks for thinking of it and offeringZackattack28 wrote:Should I bring my Union Jack on a flag pole?
