Five Tips for Planning a KC MINI Event
Any member of the KC MINI Club is welcome and encouraged to host an event. Below are a few tips to help with how to get the word out to club members and how to collect RSVPs.
1. Choose a date, time and location. If necessary, notify the location (i.e. a restaurant to make a reservation).
2. Create a post on the forum (forums.kcminiclub.com) inviting club members to your event. The forum is your resource for collecting RSVPs to your event.*
3. Once you have posted on the forum, create a post on the club Facebook page. Be sure to include details, along with a link to your event on the forum so members can RSVP. If you do not use Facebook, contact an administrator/moderator of the club for help with this.
4. After posting on both the forum and Facebook, the link to your event will be crossposted by the admin team to both the pinned post on Facebook and the website calendar at kcminiclub.com.
5. Post reminders on Facebook leading up to your event, including the link to the forum post. Not all club members see every post, so it’s okay to post a couple of times
*The forum is used to collect RSVPS for several reasons: not all club members use Facebook, the RSVPs collected on Facebook do not allow for +1s or +2s so accurate attendance cannot be collected and the “interested” versus “attended” option is challenging for event hosts.
