Absolutely! My R56 is powder coated gloss black. I think I paid 66 per wheel. Of course that didn't include taking off the tires and remounting them.

Concern now is replacing the blower motor for the HVAC in the R53. It isn't an expensive part but it is a real pain in the butt for me to install it myself because of how much work is required to get into the dashboard to remove the old one. Is there a simpler way to get it out that I don't know about or could I just sell the car with the parts needed to repair if and let the next owner do it and if so what could I get for the car. In its present condition if the AC was working I could get close to $8000

Take it to Baron and let them check it out. There is a fuse just behind the dash that may be bad. Removal of the dash is not needed. To replace the fan motor, you have to remove the whole dash and everything behind it. The fan motor is attached to the firewall. Not an easy job at all.

See someone told me it was right underneath and easy to get to. There is a resistor that fails but usually if the blower isn't coming on at all then it is the blower motor and not the resistor.

I think this is your best bet. Have Baron diagnose it for you. You then have to figure out what is more important to you. The money to have Baron do it (saving you time) or spending your time to save some money. Either way, it won't cost you anything for a diagnosis.

Well AC is working again for some inexplicable reason. Going to not touch the car until the corrosion repair appointment and let them diagnose what precisely is wrong before I do any repairs.

Named him Sirius "Black". Harry Potter reference of course but the name suits it.

Looks pretty BIG anyway! 12" longer and 5" wider than your current Clubby.....

But so far I really like the interior....I'm thinking it could replace our Audi - and will almost be the same size!

Also decided to get Silver R112 JCW Challenge Wheels for the car. Think those will look fantastic.

As for plates, I will get a personalized plate eventually but I have to register the car.

In mean time I plan to get a personalized GB license plate for the front. Thoughts on how to space it out and so forth.

S1R1US
S1R-1US
S1R1-US

Other suggestions?

Well I have figured out that despite appearances, it does not have headlight washers. Just the chrome caps where they would be. Also it doesn't have automatic headlights as was suggested. Good car so far :-).
