[quote="Minidave"]Then how do we know where we finished?[/]

We were all winners, just because we made it to the end.

:D , I just checked and the results dont seem to be up.

5T Mike VanDam Ron Kass Black Crossfire Topeka 519
8 Tony Ray Dunavant Lea Craman Orange GTI KC 731

This did not "copy and paste" like the email but here's how to read:
Car #7, Dave, finished 4th. You were 71 seconds off the official time.

One team, car #10, had a perfect score of "0" on one leg. That's more rare than bowling a 300 game or pitching a no-hitter.

Also in the email from Rich of the SCCA, the MINI Club received special recognition for it's turnout.

Thanks to all.

How was the tie decided between 3rd and 4th?

Well done, Ivan! We were only 71 sec off and we didn't even have a "seconds" readout on our clock - we did everything by the minute!

Per Rich's email:

"The tie between cars 1 and 7 was broken using the traditional road rally method of squaring each leg score and adding the results. (This technique resolves the tie in favor of the team whose leg scores were more accurate more often.)"

Thanks, I was just curious how they did it........

To all the Mini club members, this was a lot of fun, was not highly technical (afterall - WE did it!) and involved no racing or high performance driving skills, no special equipment (we used the clock in the MINI  ) just a fun cruise thru some interesting roads.

I hope we can get an even bigger turnout for the next one!

Well... :D

(Just kidding, just kidding!)

Hmmm... I thought we came in 7th. Looks like we dropped a few slots. Not that it matters... we had a GREAT time!

I'd like to do a rally in my Mini one day...it sounds like fun. I think there might be a communication problem between driver and navigator...(she's a bit noisy...)

Steph--You should definitely look into doing an open road rally and I wouldn't worry too much about communicating with your navigator. You could always work out a system of hand signals. :D Road rallies are within the top two reasons I keep my MINI. The crazy experiences and friendships that have come from road rallying are worth more than the cost of maintaining the car.

Minor hijack...Do you know anyone that went to Scion United?
Johnna--BMPR CR '05 Chili Red JustaCVT, JCW Sound Kit #D344, JCW BBK, aFe cai, M7 Under Strut System, strut tower plates, Sparkly wheel arches, a little chrome. Garage-sharing w/ '12 Goodwood MCS #372, '06 MCS "Jack" and MiniX4's classic, Moxie.
