Hmmm. the thread from last year is gone.

I know there were a lot of pics in it.

Here is a pic of my MINI (not a good one, but the only one I could find fast). It was a one eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater. I took 2nd place!

The forum archives do not go back very far. Here is a link to an album on the club's photobucket account that Rojocohete set up for everyone to use.

Since we don't have the details yet for the party, I don't know if they are going to do a MINI costume contest this year. I don't know why they wouldn't since they did it the last two years, but who knows.

FWIW, the baby was the 1st place winner last year. I do believe that the whale and sneaker also took home prizes as well.

It was fun seeing all the different ideas people came up with.

How fun! I love them all. The bumper stickers and tag on the popemobile are the best. Looks like you guys had a blast. Looking forward to it this year.

the pope was built on a tabletop fan base - so it rotated to make it look like he was waving.

it was pretty awesome if i do say so myself.

Yup, mine was the Chuck Taylor Converse All Star, and it took 3rd place. I need to find a better picture though - the ones in the album aren't the completed shoe.

Lots of people do dress up. Some to match their car costumes, some to go with the theme of the party. Some just for the sake of dressing up!
