March 21st, Chocolate Crawl

Join the Miniacs for a short drive to a couple of Hot Chocolate spots in KC, ending with a tour of Chips Chocolate Factory at Crown Center on Saturday, March 21st.

We'll meet at 9 a.m. at Krispy Kreme, 8905 Shawnee Mission Parkway (near Baron) for a chocolate donut and coffee to get things started. We'll depart from Krispy Kreme at 9:30, visiting a couple of chocolatiers along the way to our final destination, Chips Chocolate Factory at Crown Center, where we will go on a Chocology tour at 11:30. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes and costs $5, which includes a goodie bag of chocolate to take home. Chocolates will be available for purchase at the stops along the way, bring extra $. The driving tour has been planned with the downtown crowds and parking congestion in mind, Crown Center being the furthest north we will venture.

RSVP with number of people and cars and indicate if you plan to go on the entire crawl or only the tour at Chips. We are limited to 40 people for the Chocology tour at Chips.

Prepayment is required for the tour at Chips. You may either pay me via Paypal ($5.55 for the first, $5.25 for each additional please) or send a check in the mail. No refunds will be given for those unable to attend. Should you need to cancel after paying, your $5 will be added to the club funds. This is necessary so we can give an accurate advance count to the chocolate factory. Once you have RSVP'd, I'll send you a PM with paypal and/or snail mail info.

Hi guys,
Something to keep in mind when planning this run, the Sprint Center is hosting NCAA basketball games that day. Game times won't be announced until March but there will be more than the usual number of people in downtown KC that today (especially if KU, MU or OU play there).
Oh, and I will be one of them!!!!!

Oh how i miss having a MINI! I am trying to convince my wife to let me get a MINI. She has never experienced a MINI so i was thinking if i could take her on a club event it would convince her. I'm not sure if she will be up for it or if we'll even be available but i'd like to get an idea if this is a possiblity...if there is anyone that would like to have 2 extra passengers please let me know.

Minicoopers43, all are welcome! We are all MINI enthusiasts after all. It just so happens that a lot of us also have MINI/Mini's. Please don't let not having a MINI stop you from coming.

There's still room for a few more on the Chocolate Crawl and plenty of time to get your pre-payment on the way. As long as it goes in the mail by Friday or is PayPal'd by next Tuesday-ish, you can still sign up and join in the fun!

Got you on the list for two, no tour at Chips.

You won't need any parking meter coins, just $ to buy anything you would like at the other 2 or 3 chocolate spots.

I offered even when Larry was still coming. She said her schedule is tight with trying to visit friends and the bball games. Hopefully she can at least make it for a donut.

WOW! This was a fun event. My mom has great time too, it was nice to see her smile and laugh for several hours

I used my chocolate buzz to get a bunch of yard work completed at mom's.

Thanks for putting this together everyone and thanks to the "MINI Bunny" that kept leaving chocolate on our cars at each stop
