Greetings Mini Cooper owners:
My name is Hilary Morrissey, and I am the event coordinator for the Minis to Macon Car Rally. I love my Mini, and want to invite you to Macon, Missouri for our Mini Cooper Rally. We have our own web page and the web address is: http://www.ministomacon.moonfruit.com/
We are officially counting down to October 7, 2011. Our event is 73 days away, and most of the details are in place for a fantastic rally. I will be posting new information on this website every 15 days until October 1st, so we can keep in touch.

*First of all, Macon, Missouri is at the crossroads of Highway 36 and Highway 63. Both roads are divided highways and are in excellent condition. Macon is 60 miles north of Columbia, Missouri, 2 hours and 30 minutes from Kansas City; and, 2 hours and 45 minute from St. Louis, Missouri. My family and I recently traveled to Kansas City to the Mini/Miata Drive-in on July 16th. We enjoyed the trip and met some really nice people. We also attended the European Car Show on June 5th in St. Louis, Missouri. Both trips were easy drives for my Mini.
I realize that putting on a Mini Rally in Macon, Missouri on a Friday will provide some challenges to everyone. I truly believe we have put together a fun day that you won’t soon forget. Get ready for some Macon hospitality - MINI POWER!

*When you arrive in Macon on Friday, October 7th, we will have a $5.00 gift card for you from McDonald’s for coffee and rolls. McDonald’s Restaurant is next to our event location. I believe the highlight of the Rally will be the Macon Homecoming Parade where there will be firetrucks, other Classic and Antique vehicles, Homecoming and Class Queens, The Macon Tiger High School Marching Band, Cheerleaders and other performers, floats, horses, and 16 blocks of hometown cheering spectators who love Mini Coopers. We also have a great luncheon planned where we will present our awards. A.J.’s Restaurant will capture your appetite with it’s unique flavors and recipes. Their onion rings are out of this world. If you want to stay for dinner after the parade, The Pear Tree Restaurant in Bevier (5 miles away) may be the best kept secret in fine dining. Both A.J.’s and the The Pear Tree are owned by Hall of Fame Restaurateur, Al Abbadessa and his son, Michael Abbadessa. Hotel arrangements are also available at several locations.

This is Hilary Morrissey, Mini’s to Macon Car Rally Show Coordinator.  You probably received my 75 day to event Email and as I promised, I’m following up every 15 days.  We are now at 60 days (two months) to our Mini’s to Macon Rally.  I have had responses and questions from several of you and want to thank you for your interest. I really need your help in getting the word out to every mini owner that they are invited to Macon, Missouri for our event.

I am anticipating a beautiful fall as the trees and foliage really turn to some beautiful red’s, oranges and yellows.  The drive to the Country should be really fun as you experience the wonderful fall colors.  Please make plans now to include the Mini’s to Macon Rally in your schedule and mail your reservation in to guarantee a spot in this event.

Greetings Mini Cooper Owners and Enthusiasts. The countdown is at 30 days to the Minis to Macon Car Rally/Show in Macon, Missouri on Friday, October 7, 2011. We have received several entries to the Minis to Macon Event and are optimistic that more are on the way. I want to encourage everyone who plans on attending to pre-register prior to October 1st so we can make certain that we are prepared for all our guests. Registration forms are available online, go to the website and it's under the Car Rally tab.
Your drive to Macon will feature the brilliant fall colors, farmers harvesting their crops, and the cool breeze of a country drive. Let’s go Coopers, come on out to the Country!

Two weeks from today is the Mini’s to Macon Rally/Show in Macon, Missouri. All systems are go… Momentum is building and registrations are coming in. I had very modest expectations in the beginning on the number of Mini’s that would be able to make it to our event on a Friday in a rural area. Mini’s from around the State have responded and are going to have a big presence in Macon come October 7th.
Macon’s football team is undefeated and rated #1 in Class 2. The Homecoming Parade will be one of the biggest in years as everyone will want to cheer on the Tigers. We have a special treat for all the hometown folks as we parade our Mini’s down Main Street.

It is very important that if you are planning on attending the Minis to Macon Rally, we would appreciate it if you could pre-register prior to October 2nd.
For those of you that have already pre-registered you will receive confirmation and further details on October 3rd.
It’s not too late to join the festivities, so let your Mini come on out to the country.

One week from today our first MINI's to Macon Car Rally/Show will be a reality. We are excited about our guests coming to Macon, Missouri. The weather forecast looks wonderful! (Sunny and 73) The drive to Macon should be gorgeous with all the fall colors. We have a great group of MINI's from around the state and 2 from Illinois. To date we have twelve pre-register MINI's and could probably handle 3-4 more.

Our Macon Tiger Football team is still undefeated and ranked #1 in the State! The Macon Homecoming Parade 2011 should be one of the biggest ever. If anyone decides to come
and is not pre-registered, please let me know. MINI's forever!!

Give that young lady a hand Hilary,you did a great job. 14 cars from all over the state and beyond showed up.Davester and I represented the KC club with a certain amount of distinction as David won" best in show".Lucky devil!!! Lunch was great ,the parade outstanding and the drive up on I-35 and 36 was beautiful. What great roads.Also a shout-out to Hilary's mom and dad for all their help.Looking forward to next year.

Yes, it was alot of fun. Met some really great people from St.Louis and beyond. The parade was a hoot. Worth the drive and will do it again. Big thanks to Hilary and her parents hard work putting this event together.
