We may need to pull the carb to do that, it's easy enough to do - four nuts and a few hoses.

It will be much easier that way :)

Just saw the forecast. Heat returns tomorrow, so I will be taking advantage of the last cool day getting stuff done getting ready for MTTS. Might come by, might not, depending on how far I get.

If you guys are wrapping it all up by 4, I will just be getting off work then. I will have to wait for another day.

Yep, we were pretty much done by 4 pm, come visit the next shop day if you can.....

Once again, we got everything done we set out to do - almost. MiniX2 had planned to change his inner ball joints but got stymied by the extra work required to get them out, so we left them alone for now. However we did get all the struts/springs changed out and found the original shocks were pretty much toast. He should be cruising smoothly now.

MiniManiac was a little more successful, we got his choke spring set up properly, changed out both axle seals and his shift rod seal, and he got an oil change to boot. But just as all silver linings are attached to a dark cloud, he found he needs new axle boots - so that will have to be on his next shop day.

MiniMax got his brake fluid changed, but found he really didn't need to, so we did Blue Gooses too. We got spark plugs swapped out on nine5raptor's car and everyone's car ran at the end of the day.

We went to Jack Stack for lunch and had a great meal from a lousy waiter, and all in all a fun day. Thanks to everyone who came and helped, worked, kibitzed or just hung out - glad to have you all!

Thanks to everyone for their help and to you Dave for both your help and your hospitality.

For the first time in 9 years, there isn't a drop of oil under the classic. :) I wonder how long it will last 8)

Thanks all for the help today. Was very happy with what got done! Rides great! Wasn't stymied, just didn't want to take all the time on lift knowing others were waiting and knew it would take another bit of time.

Thanks to all of you fellas who helped MiniX2 get my car rolling smoothly. It floats now, which is nice at this amount of miles. And thanks, too, for your patience in MiniX2's late arrival. He gave me a ride home from the repair shop this morning, which made him a wee bit late. (I have a non-MINI that I drive for work and had to get it fixed today so I can continue making enough money to fund my MINI habit. )

BIG kudos to redsled for fixing the glovebox rattle. I hear you also installed my glovebox last month. It absolutely made my day when I picked my car up and found you had gone to the extra effort to move the drink holder stickers in my old glovebox into the new one. Thanks!!!

Wow. No idea what happened there. Accessed the page and loaded the photo from my smart phone -- some sort of technical glitch.

Ha, I think that mug likes you more than me. Sorry for rushing out, my wife was eager for me to return home. Can I pick it up at the next garage day?

Yep, I was going to post those too.....

Maybe we should start a rule that tools and such left at garage days become the property of the club?

You had trouble getting that one in, didn't you?

Now you know how to fix it anyway, let me know if/when you need the lift.

Ya, but we got it put back together. I need to replace the outer boot on the right one so it looks like the drive shafts will be pulled sometime. I think this will be a winter project :)
