MINI's to the Springs MINI Cooper Rally
Excelsior Springs, MO WaterFest!

WHO: ALL MINI COOPER OWNERS (Vintage Coopers Welcome)

WHEN: SATURDAY, JUNE 25TH, 2016

WHERE: EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Missouri (30 MILES EAST OF KANSAS CITY) This location is a short drive from Kansas City and Mid-Missouri, however we encourage all MINI’s throughout the state to make the trip to Excelsior Springs for this MINI Rally.

TIMETABLE: Please Note- Arrive time has changed!

9:30-10:00 AM: ARRIVE IN EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, MO
10:00 AM-10:30 AM: SOCIALIZE and ORGANIZE FOR WATER FEST PARADE

10:30 AM: WATER FESTIVAL PARADE
11:30 AM: RETURN TO RALLY SITE
11:30 AM: SOCIALIZE, LUNCH ON YOUR OWN, WATERFEST ACTIVITIES

WHY: This will be the FIRST year that there will be a MINI Cooper Rally at the Excelsior Springs WaterFest. We look forward to carrying on the yearly tradition since we were unable to organize the Richmond, MO Mushroom Festival. We hear good things about this event and want to have a nice showing of MINI’s for our first time at the WaterFest!

DETAILS: The WaterFest is an annual event that attracts a lot of people and they start on Friday and conclude on Sunday. They have provided us a area to display our MINI’s next to vendors. There is no cost, just a great time for fellowship, to display our MINI’s and participate in their WaterFest parade.

MINI PASSION: Hilary Morrissey is a passionate MINI owner. She has attended MINI Cooper shows and events throughout the state as well as hosting the MINI’s to Macon show in October 2011 & 2013 and the MINI’s to Richmond show 2012-2015. The opportunity to get a group of MINI’s together at a fun event seems very appealing, so here we go! Mark Saturday, June 25th, 2016 on your calendar for a new experience.

If anyone is interested in decorating their MINI for the parade, the theme this year is "American Pride". Probably not the best thing for little British cars, but I bet we can pull it off I also saw on the form that if you want to hand anything out during the parade you must be walking. Nothing can be thrown from the vehicle.

I'm down with this. I'll have my 2011 white silver/black Cooper Clubman S, Victoria, myself, and possibly my kiddos. My wife may come along too.

Hilary, just where in Excelsior do we meet up and where do we park?

The response to the MINI's to the Springs event has been very good and we looked to have a good representation of MINI's in Excelsior Spring, MO this Saturday, June 25th.

Right now I have 20 reservations and anticipate some more to drive in the day of the rally. The weather looks to be in the 90's, so bring some cold refreshments and your lawn chairs.

The parade begins at 10:30 am and if you would like to be in it we would like for you to arrive at 9:30 am. There is a parking lot on West Broadway Ave across from Don's Printing (The address is: 313 West Broadway Ave. Excelsior Springs, MO). We will assemble and join in the WaterFest parade.

After the parade, the event organizers have designated a parking area for our MINI's right next to the event. The address is: 417 Concourse Ave, Excelsior Springs, MO (Woods Memorial Christian Church) which we will be parking on the road. I understand there will be a lot of vendors and food stands so we look forward to a good time.

My wife and I are so looking forward to this tomorrow.

We have had a last minute family situation that requires nana and papa to babysit in the morning....we are going to miss the parade, but, we want to try to make it up to park with everyone after the parade! Hope to see you all at 11:30 and spend some time at the festival.
