Hello Mini Enthusiasts of Kansas City!

Welcome to 2021 and a glimpse of what might be a “Return to Normalcy!” The Heart of America Jaguar Club has secured the Crown Center Fountain Square for our 2021 Concours D’Elegance on June 12, 2021. We were contacted by Crown Center in early January concerning the possibility of holding the British Car Celebration and our Concours Judging for 2021. Of course we leaped at the possibility of gathering again on the beautiful Crown Center Square for a return to some semblance of normalcy with a car show. Remembering the last few years in May, from threatening thunder showers to 2019’s full-out “cats and dogs” downpour, we asked Crown Center if they might have a later date available during the summer for our event. When the Antique Club of Kansas City cancelled their Convention for 2021, June 12th became available, and we grabbed the date.

Please join us in June for this year’s gathering and celebration of England’s finest motorcars. Since we first spoke with Crown Center in January many positive events have occurred reflecting the progress of the Covid-19 vaccine and making it readily available. Of course we will comply with any restrictions still in place on June 12th.

We look forward to the Mini Enthusiasts of Kansas City joining us once again on June 12, 2021 for a “Return to Normal” Celebration of British Classic Motorcars. Is it ok if we pay registration on the day of the event?

Sounds like fun. Moving to June should.... be better weather. Hopefully I will have Tank ready, new panel display on display and the last finish from the accident fixed. But either way we will be in the group gathering!!

There is no charge for the car show. The only charge is if you are going to the hospitality reception the night before.

Hello Mini Owners and Enthusiasts,
The British Car Celebration at Crown Center on June 12th is fast approaching, with only 5 weeks left until the event. This 2021 event has been slower to unfold until many of the Covid-19 restrictions were altered, relaxed, or waived all together. This year Hallmark, Inc, requested we register the British Car Celebration with the Kansas City, Missouri Mayor’s office, under the “eventhub.com” website. The purpose of this was to keep us apprised of any changes or modifications to Covid alerts and recommendations, and prepare us for any unforeseen health risks. We have received our permit, and are now full speed ahead, please excuse the pun. As of last Thursday, April 29th, we have received final clearance from Hallmark for our June 12th celebration of a “return to normalcy” with a proper British car gathering.

As the new restrictions were revealed last week we received a surge of registrations. We are thrilled to once again welcome members of the Mini Enthusiasts Club as their cherished Minis emerge from a year-long hibernation to relish this outside gathering of our British Motoring treasures. Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. The registration form is attached, we all look forward to seeing you there.
