Most Needed Items for Donation Spots, 2022

Our club's largest annual All-MINI/Mini event. A drive, a car show and a whole lot of (fun)draising for our community in late October/early November. 2024 will be the 18th annual gathering!

Most Needed Items for Donation Spots, 2022

Post by ragtopday Johnna »

Along the drive we will make stops at KC Pet Project and Harvesters affiliate JFS at their Overland Park location.

Here is the list of most needed items from KC Pet Project:
https://kcpetproject.org/donate/shelter-wish-list/

Their special request to us is hot dogs (frozen is ideal), peanut butter without xylitol and cans of wet puppy and kitten food.

JFS has asked for side items to make Thanksgiving meals, along with any items on the list linked below.

Here is the most needed list for Harvesters, of which is JFS is an affiliate: https://www.harvesters.org/how-to-help/ ... eded-items

About KC Pet Project: KC Pet Project was founded in 2012 as an open-intake, no kill shelter for the city of Kansas City, Missouri. KC Pet Project provides sheltering and animal services to over 10,000 pets a year. They place pets into homes with families, enhance public safety through animal control services, provide a resource to people and pets in our community, reunite lost pets with their owners, establish pet retention programs, provide humane education opportunities, and enrich the lives of pets and people in Kansas City to build up and support a more safe and humane Kansas City.

About JFS Food Pantry: Each month more than 800 families receive food assistance from the Overland Park and Kansas City pantries. JFS distributes food each month to singles, families and older adults. Twenty-five percent of the people served are children under the age of 18. JFS assists people from all walks of life, regardless of religion. The pantries offer staples such as grains, dairy, protein, fresh fruits and vegetables. Personal care and household items round out the grocery bags since most of those items are not covered by governmental assistance (food stamps).

Food for cats and dogs is available from JFS’s Jasmine’s Corner so pet owners don’t have to forgo eating themselves in order to keep their beloved pets fed. Last year 1,275 pets received food.

The JFS Food Pantry is an affiliate of the Harvesters Food Network and a partner agency of Happy Bottoms, Kansas City’s baby diaper bank.
