30th AnnualKC All British Car & Cycle Show, Sept 3rd and 4th

Back in the shaded tree area next to the KCI Marriott Hotel on Sept 3rd and 4th. A funkhana on Saturday afternoon with some out of towners showing up and then the main show on Sunday with registration at 8-10.30 am. Lots of interesting and varied British autos including classic minis and BMWs with their own classes. This year Scooters are guest class. Awards, t-shirts dash plaques etc. http://www.kcallbritish.com

We're going to go to have a look, too. Thought I might show my MINI but drove quite a bit in the rain today and would have to stay up late to get her show ready.

There didn't seem to be much info on the web site. Is there an admission fee to just go look? I may cruise out and check it out.

Took a quick look around this morning, more MINIs in the parking lot than on the field. Only one MINI and 4 Minis when we left.

I should have stayed up and polished my car, it was a guaranteed trophy show.

The shirts were really nice at the show this year, just a few vendors and maybe fewer cars than last year. Not very many from the guest marque, scooters, were on display but those that showed up were interesting to see.

I went around noon and seen a few club members there. What a perfect day for an outdoor car show.

What a perfect day for an outdoor car show <-- I know! If Scott & I hadn't had household projects keeping us busy, we would have checked it out. Seems like it was the weekend for car/bike shows - Good Guys was going on as well. Union Station is having an 'Art of the Chopper' as well.

Other than the Triumph and MG contingent, show contributors were down considerably this year, although there were 4 (count-em!) Mini's there. Don't know whether this is due to the general economic malaise or if it's something else, but a number of the cars there were very well turned out and/or restored.

I got chiggers something fierce tho!
