In St. Joseph each month throughout the Summer they host a "Party on the Parkway," a family-friendly evening at a park along the parkway system with live music, food and drinks for purchase, and a good time in an outdoor setting.
On July 12th, the band is Soca Jukebox, self-described as Soul Calypso Reggae Rasta Rock. They are a really energetic band, complete with steel pans, and always fun to see!
The Party on the Parkway is on Thursday, July 12th from 5 to 8 PM at the intersection of SW Noyes and Messanie. It's about 45 minutes from the Northland. If you are interested in joining me, we can decide on a meeting point somewhere along I-29. Post here so we can start working out details.
The Parkway itself is worth the trip. It's a great drive with lots of twisties and a few hairpin turns.
