Anybody who plans on coming over - I've pushed our start time to 10:30 AM.
Let me know who besides Geoff is coming.

What do you say we get together over at my place at 10 AM this Saturday the 23rd. We can work 'til 1-ish and then take a drive somewhere for lunch. BTW - I've got the garage and jacks covered hopefully someone coming knows how to work on brakes for Geoff's sake. PM me if you don't know where ...

... I like lots of feedback from the car whether its in the form of engine vibration, or steering vibrations. These tell me alot about what is going on with the car. Plus for me there is alot of satisfaction in modifying something to perform better than new, and retain reliability and economy... No...

The dealer has had both a JCW and a JCW Clubman available for test drives for almost a month now. The JCW Clubman sold pretty quickly and another demo is on its way. I'm chiming in with my 2 cents on the whole JCW is overpriced debate. Back in late 2003 I used to say the exact same things about the,...

Hey all - I've been holding back, mainly because I've been on the road for what seems to be about 20 of the last 30 days so my apologies for not checking in more and for not responding to the last months of PMs here at the board. Busy doesn't even come close to describing what I've been lately. That...

We can have another Garage day at my place but I'll be gone at MTTS the two weekends after this weekend. So is anyone interested in getting together at casa de Pearson on Aug. 9th? Let me know and we can start setting it up. Geoff, you may need brakes sooner so that's cool too but I know of a few ot...

Just to throw further confusion into the spark plug debate - to be safe, you can go with the same plugs that are recommended for the JCW MINIS which are the NGK BKR7EQUP (as noted above). I've still got the boxes from mine that were replaced in the GP at the first oil service. Crazy to replace plugs...

It''s been two years but I got them at the auto parts store at the corner of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Nieman (don't remember whether it's Parts America or the chain store). They weren't listed online but they had them in stock. ZFR6FIX-11 is the part number. IK22s are easier to find locally. BTW ...

Yes, the part number you listed is the NGK from the JCW kit. I've got the IXs on my 2003 because I found them locally at one of the local Auto parts chains. One stage colder is the important part especially after a pulley redux. I've also got the Kingsbourne fire braided plug wires. FWIW, one of the...

I just got back from my first Drive-In movie experience last week in Warwick, NY where more than 200 MINIs filled the place. It was awesome! We saw the new Indiana Jones flick and got free popcorn and soda sponsored by Prestige MINI in NJ. This was one of our stops on the MTTS drive from Miami to Bo...

We may stop by but not come to exhibit. Trying to get a lot done before we leave for the Miami to Boston trip next Friday. We're currently scheduled to drive a new Cooper from Miami to Boston but I've requested an upgrade to a Clubman. 8) You can follow our travels at WRR and Motoringfile starting n...

I have completed graphics on more than 700 MINIs since 2003 and I do all the custom, non factory, graphics for Baron. My companies are DMP Productions and toddsmods.com. MTTS Chicago/Milwaukee
Anyone planning on making the drive to Chicago and then to Road America in late July for MTTS?
I'll be there but I'm not sure if I'll be driving my MINI up or flying. If enough KC folk want to drive I may drive also.

The smart car may be clever in design and theory but go drive one and you'll stop thinking about it. It's an absolute dog to drive. Everything from the transmission to the brakes feels weak. I took one out a few weeks back and I was shocked at how horrible it was. I guess it's all about perspective ...
